Why we started Lotta's Laundry
Beau and Liz, the husband-and-wife duo behind Lotta’s Laundry, didn’t grow up in the laundry business—but they sure know what it feels like to be buried under a mountain of it. As parents juggling work, kids, and life on Bainbridge Island, they were caught in the same endless cycle of sorting, washing, and folding. They realized they weren’t the only ones. So many families and professionals were feeling the same overwhelm.
IIn 2024, they founded Lotta’s Laundry with one simple mission: to give people their time back. What started as a pickup-and-delivery service built on creative problem-solving quickly grew into something bigger—a community-minded company that creates real local jobs while keeping sustainability front and center.Today, the team behind Lotta’s Laundry is made up of neighbors—drivers, washers, and folders who take pride in serving their community. Every pickup, every folded towel, and every returned order supports local families and keeps dollars circulating close to home.
